B2B WEEE Take Back
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires UK producers and distributors to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of WEEE. UK producers and distributors (including retailers) are required to provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items.
As a producer and distributor of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE), Lancaster Holdings is registered with the WERCS Ltd compliance scheme under registration number WEE/MM7891AA.
In accordance with the requirements of the WEEE Directive, WERCS confirms that the treatment and recycling of WEEE completed on behalf of Lancaster Holdings Limited meets all Government targets for recycling and recovery of our products.
Why recycle?
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK’s fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and human health.
For account holders, we will provide you with assistance in recycling unwanted electrical products, please contact our Customer Service team on 01473 271272 or email [email protected].
Crossed out wheeled bin symbol
This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that the product must not be disposed of with normal household waste. Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose of your waste equipment by arranging to return it to a designated collection point for the recycling WEEE.
